Charlie and Joan Gracie

Hello Everybody, Welcome to my June and July newsletter.
I should like to express my personal thanks and those of the The Flames to so many of you who attended the concert at Amersham on Saturday 10th April. I know that I speak for all of the Artistes on the bill that night when I say it really was a most memorable occasion. Our thanks also go to the ‘unsung’ heroes of the evening, namely the ‘back of house’ workers of the Amersham Rock ‘n’ Roll Club for making us all feel so welcome.
Our photographer for the evening, Nathan Hulse, has supplied us with a host of really excellent pictures, some of which we have displayed on a special Photo Gallery page.

And finally,
Whilst sorting out my office, prior to my recent house move, I came across some interesting ‘early’ photographs. Sometime ago I mentioned in a newsletter that I was ‘assisted’ on stage, in the early 60’s by a group of backing singers called ‘The Angels’ and was trying to locate a picture of the group with myself. I remember that this picture was taken whilst we were appearing in concert in Blackpool.

John with the Angels

Always yours.
