Hello Everybody,
Welcome to my November newsletter.

In September The Flames and I performed at the now annual Eddie Cochran tribute event at the Sandbay Holiday Village. I would like to express my thanks to the promoter Ken Hersey for arranging what was a very successful event and to Sam Pagett for supplying some excellent pictures. Check out Sam's website 'Photos of Special Events' page for more pictures of the event.
Also a big thank you to Gordon Hill for supplying pictures of the Juke Box Heroes concert that featured myself, Mike Berry and The Flames at The Lakeside in October. We intend to use some of these pictures in a future newsletter.

November Concerts.
This month sees me performing in concert on Sunday 3rd at The Richmond Caravan Park, Skegness with The Flames and Craig Douglas, Saturday 15th at The Joe Meek Tribute Concert in Newent with The Rapiers and on Saturday 22nd at The Juke Box Legends concert at The Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar with The Flames, The Tornados and Craig Douglas.

Joe Meek - Telstar update.

The film has been receiving very good reviews on the main TV channels and in the press, particularly praising author Nick Moran's directorial debut and the great performance by Con O'Neil as Joe Meek. Original tracks included in the film's soundtrack include 'Johnny Remember Me', 'Telstar' and 'Have I The Right' plus many other Joe Meek productions. The film had its worldwide premiere in October and the latest news that we have received suggests that 'Telstar' will go on general release in the New Year. Meantime a 'trailer' from Telstar is available at

Press. I have recently been interviewed for a forthcoming edition of The Daily Express Saturday magazine.

Radio. I am being interviewed by BBC Radio Bristol for a forthcoming programme on Joe Meek and also by the local Forest of Dean radio station prior to my appearance at The Joe Meek Tribute Concert in Newent.

Richard Attenborough.
Richard's autobiography entitled 'Entirely Up To You, Darling' has just been published and contains references to myself in respect of our filming together in 'Guns At Batasi'. I have many happy memories of appearing with him in this film and also in 'The Great Escape' and wish him well and hopefully his book will be a good seller.

Unreleased recordings.
The November issue of Record Collector magazine listed in Rob Bradford's very interesting article on Joe Meek's master tapes (The Tea Chest Tapes) listing several of my tracks that are so far unreleased. We get many questions to the website about my 'unreleased' 60's recordings and will publish a full list of those we know that still exist in the December newsletter.

Always yours.
