John in Hove

Hello Everybody,
Welcome to my October newsletter.

Football Battalions Documentary/DVD.
I would like to express my thanks to the staff and supporters of Leyton Orient FC for their hospitality on Saturday 20th September where I was filming for the Football Battalions Documentary film. This film tells the story of the 17th Middlesex Regiment who fought so courageously in France during the 1st World War. The players and staff of Leyton Orient FC, then known as Clapton Orient FC, were the first football club to volunteer en-mass for the 1st Football Battalion. Also a big thanks to my good friend Andy Gilson who is heavily involved in the film's production and arranged the filming.

Dinton Hall Concert.
Again I should like to pass on my thanks to the many of you that I met at this recent concert and to David Parker (The Beat Magazine) for arranging this charity event.
